Interruptions staged

Cutscenes · scripted full-screen visions
A 1920s theatre stage mid-performance, an uninvited figure among the actors

Sometimes the story must simply seize the table. A cutscene cuts in mid-sentence, full screen — a vision, a memory, a thing at the window — types itself across the dark with its own backdrop and sound, and is gone.

Write them in advance and queue them into the night's programme between scenes; the whole evening then runs on a single key. Style and pace are yours: slow dread or a hard cut.

Players remember the moment the screen stopped being theirs. Use it sparingly; the house makes it effortless.
